|Dr. Myers was born in Galion, Ohio and attended the University of Utah where he received a skiing scholarship for Alpine Ski Racing. He later graduated with a zoology degree from Miami University of Ohio and then attended Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine, graduating in 1983. He trained in orthopaedic surgery at the Brown University Program in Medicine in Providence, Rhode Island, and has been practicing in Colorado Springs since 1989. Dr. Myers completed hip surgery fellowship in Bern, Switzerland under the directorship of Dr.
Reinhold Ganz. He currently focuses his practice on disorders around the hip and lower extremities. Dr. Myers is married to Carol who is a local artist and they have two children, Kurt and Laurel.
|Gavin Scott was raised in Los Angeles, California where he dedicated much of his time to becoming an accomplished gymnast. While attending BYU-Idaho, he graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Arts and Sciences with an emphasis in Biology. During college, Gavin took two years off and lived in Peru as a service missionary and speaks Spanish. In 2006, he graduated from D’Youville College in Buffalo, New York where he earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. Upon graduation, he worked for Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, New York as a Surgical Physician Assistant. There he assisted on many surgical services including, neurosurgery, plastics, trauma, ear nose & throat, and general surgery. Gavin then transferred to the Orthopedic Department and continued working at Rochester General Hospital for four more years. Now Gavin is delighted to be working with Colorado Springs Orthopaedic Group, where he works directly with Dr. Steven Myers.
Gavin, his wife Beth and daughter Ella are enjoying the change to the Western United States and learning more about Colorado. They are pleased to be near family and enjoy spending time with them. Gavin loves to snowboard and is happy to be where there are real mountains with deep powder.
|Tina Williams is Dr. Myers patient coordinator. She schedules all surgeries for Dr. Myers. She attended PPI Institute for 2 years and graduated with a diploma in Medical Secretarial Studies. Tina is currently attending college at NAU and finishing her Associates in Applied Science. She has been working for Dr. Myers since January of 2005 and has been in the medical field since 1992. Tina is married to Todd and has two children, Michael and Madison.|
